Special Days of Hamdard
Hamdard Foundation Bangladesh stands as a testament to our commitment to serving humanity through education, healthcare, and philanthropy. Established in 1989, we have consistently worked towards creating a society where every individual has access to quality education and healthcare.
Our journey began with a vision to address the fundamental challenges facing our nation – illiteracy, poverty, and lack of healthcare facilities. Today, I am proud to see how this vision has materialized into institutions that are transforming lives and communities.
As we move forward, our focus remains on expanding our reach and impact, ensuring that the light of knowledge and healing reaches every corner of Bangladesh. Together, we are building a brighter, healthier future for generations to come.
Polio Vaccine
It is saying, “Do your little bit of good where you are; those little bits of good put together to overwhelm the world”. Once upon a time, Bangladesh was highly affected by the Polio virus. So many children were affected by this incurable disease in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Government started offering Polio vaccine to the children from 0 to 6 years of age. As a health pioneer organization, Hamdard Bangladesh started to cooperate the Government in their Polio vaccine program. Hamdard has been arranging Polio Vaccine Camp from 1999 in some selective outlets, three Hospitals of Unani Medical Colleges and Hamdard General Hospital.
Stipend and Scholarship
The Founder and developer of Modern Hamdard Bangladesh Dr. Hakim Md. Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan believes, education is the most important and most valuable asset of human life. The illiterate people are like candles without lights. Only proper education can make a happy, enriched, and enlightened socio-cultural life of human beings. So, there is no alternative to education. To ensure the education for the less privileged people from the remote area of the country, Hamdard Bangladesh established a University, a higher secondary College, and three Unani Medical Colleges. Students from different areas come to these institutions for higher studies. A good number of students are insolvent and unable to bear the cost of higher education. Hamdard-run institutions set a minimum cost for those students and offers special stipends. The scholarships and stipends are offered to the needy and helpless but meritorious students of the institutions. At present, a good number of students from Hamdard Public College, Hamdard University Bangladesh, and three Unani Medical Colleges are getting stipends of various categories from Hamdard Foundation Bangladesh.
