Inauguration of the Construction Work of Academic Building–2 at Hamdard University Bangladesh

Hamdard University Bangladesh marked a significant milestone in its journey of academic growth and infrastructural development with the inauguration of the construction work of Academic Building–2 on 10 November 2025. The initiative reflects the university’s continued commitment to expanding its academic facilities and enhancing the learning environment for students, faculty, and researchers.

The inauguration ceremony was formally conducted by Dr. Hakim Md. Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan, Founder and Chief Patron of Hamdard University Bangladesh and Chief Mutawalli & Managing Director of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh. His presence underscored the visionary leadership behind the institution’s long-term development plans.

The event was honored by the presence of Professor Kamrun Nahar Harun, Honourable Advisor of Hamdard University Bangladesh and Senior Director (Marketing & Sales, Planning & Development) of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh, who attended as the Special Guest. She was joined by Professor Dr. Monjarul Alam, PhD, MIEEE, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Hamdard University Bangladesh, along with other senior university officials.

Distinguished members of the Board of Trustees were also present at the ceremony, including Mr. Bashir Ahmed, Director, Hamdard Modern Factory; Mr. Amirul Momenin Manik, Director (Information and Public Relations), Hamdard Bangladesh; Brigadier General (Retd.) Mahbub Anwar, SUP, psc, Director, Hamdard Foundation Bangladesh; Mr. Md. Nazmul Karim, FCA, Director (Finance & Accounts), Hamdard Bangladesh; and Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Acting Director (Human Resource Development & Legal Affairs).

The ceremony was further enriched by the participation of Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments, faculty members, administrative officials of Hamdard University Bangladesh, as well as Directors, Deputy Directors, and senior officials from different divisions of Hamdard Bangladesh.

A special prayer (Doa and Munajat) was offered seeking blessings for the continued progress, prosperity, and success of Hamdard University Bangladesh and the broader Hamdard family. The Munajat was led by Mr. Faisal Alam, Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies.

The event concluded with the foundation casting ceremony, formally inaugurating the construction work of Academic Building–2 and symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in the infrastructural and academic advancement of Hamdard University Bangladesh.
